Art in the shop window, visible day and night
Andy Warhol once said: “All department stores will become museums and all museums will become department stores.”
Come and see my new series “Regard de fissures” in the window of Göldlin Pharmacy.
This series of prints offers a sensitive exploration of wood, whose irregularities – cracks, fibres and growth rings – become the starting point for a visual investigation. In it, I explore the notions of transformation, temporality and the connection to the living world. Flashes of yellow, my favourite colour, pierce the material like a bright light.
The figure of the eye emerges as a central symbol: it embodies perception, clarity and the link between the inner and the outer. Imbued with a spiritual and protective dimension, it opens up a space between the visible and the invisible.
Here is one of the four prints.
