Art statement

I pick elements from everyday life, breaking them down playfully into joyful variations combining ideas and shapes, opening the imagination, and expanding the visible.

I am fascinated by chromatic combinations and juxtapositions and have a predilection for yellow, a sunny and luminous color par excellence, which I use in the printing of my prints. It is my favorite color, for its liveliness and its sacred character which reminds me of Byzantine gold backdrops.

The Japanese print technique responds to my lifelong attraction to wood and is a continuation of my modular creations made with the same material. Working with its texture, its fibers and its warmth inspires me a lot. I use this technique in particular by associating it with that of frottage (rubbing technique).

I aspire to combine and merge the living and material world, to go beyond it and to rediscover the link with nature.
