Roses

When you enter a cathedral, the rose windows, with their stained glass, are a burst of light. The one in Lausanne Cathedral fascinates me with its light, its depth, its noble simplicity and its clean forms. It was the inspiration for the following prints.
The symbolism of the rose window evokes another world, a beyond, and Oculux follows on from Ici-là-haut, an installation presented at the group exhibition “Habiter le monde” in Geneva, with the architect Sara Gerber.
